Privacy Policy for tutor applicants

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This covers what we collect when you apply to tutor or freelance with Our Easy Game, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted. It's written to be read, not to be impenetrable.

1. Who we are

Our Easy Game is a tutoring marketplace operated by OEG. This site, oureasygame.co, is our portal for tutors and freelancers who want to work with us. Our student-facing site is oureasygame.com.

For anything in this policy, reach us at support@oureasygame.com or on WhatsApp at +961 71 091 353.

2. What we collect

Only what the application form asks for, plus a small amount of technical information about how you reached us.

CategorySpecifics
Identity & contactFull name, email address, WhatsApp number, country you're based in
Academic backgroundHighest completed degree, field of study, university, and your grade with its grading scale
Professional detailsSubjects and levels you can teach, languages, availability, and for non-tutoring applicants your discipline, years of experience and portfolio link
DocumentsYour CV or a link to one, and your academic transcripts
Anything you writeThe optional notes box on the application
How you found usYour answer to "where did you find us?", plus referral information from your browser and any campaign parameters in the link you clicked

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, your date of birth, government ID numbers, bank details or payment information as part of an application. Payout details are only set up inside the app after you're approved.

3. Why we collect it

  • To assess your application. We verify that your degree is real and look at your grades in the subjects you want to teach. This is the core purpose.
  • To contact you about it. By email and WhatsApp — to confirm receipt, ask for a missing document, and tell you the outcome.
  • To set up your tutor account if you're approved, so the right subjects and levels appear in your feed.
  • To understand which channels work. Knowing that applicants come from Instagram rather than search helps us spend sensibly. This is aggregate use, not profiling.
  • To send you optional updates about matched requests on WhatsApp — only if you tick that box, and you can stop it any time by replying to us.

Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, ours is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in assessing applications to our own marketplace.

4. Your CV and transcripts

Your transcripts are never shown to students. They exist for one reason: so a human on our team can confirm your degree and grades. Students only ever see your first name and initial, your rating, jobs completed, completion rate and your verified badges.

If you'd rather not upload documents through the website, the application form lets you submit without them and send them to us on WhatsApp instead. Your application isn't reviewed until they arrive, but the choice of channel is yours.

We accept unofficial transcripts. We don't need certified translations. We don't contact your university without telling you first.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for advertising. It's handled by our own team and by a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf:

  • Our website and email hosting provider, which stores form submissions and sends our notifications.
  • Our file storage and workflow tools, which hold your CV and transcripts and move your application through review.
  • WhatsApp, when we message you — that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms.

These providers are permitted to use your information only to deliver their service to us. Some of them operate outside your country, which means your data may be transferred and stored elsewhere. Where that happens we rely on the provider's standard data-protection commitments.

One thing to be aware of. If you email or message us documents directly rather than using the form, that copy also sits in our inbox or chat history until we delete it. Ask us to remove it and we will.

6. How long we keep it

If…We keep your application…
You're approvedFor as long as you're an active tutor with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records
We decline youUp to 12 months, so we can recognise you if you reapply and explain what changed — then it's deleted
You never finish applyingIncomplete submissions are cleared within 90 days
You ask us to delete itWe delete it, at any point, without needing a reason

A draft of your application is also saved in your own browser as you fill the form in, so you can close the tab and come back. That copy never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data or pressing "Start over" removes it.

7. Your rights

Whatever country you're in, we'll honour all of these:

  • See it — ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
  • Correct it — tell us anything that's wrong and we'll fix it.
  • Delete it — ask us to erase your application and documents.
  • Withdraw consent — including opting out of WhatsApp updates, without affecting your application.
  • Object or restrict — ask us to stop or limit how we use it.
  • Take it with you — receive it in a portable format.

Email support@oureasygame.com or reply to our confirmation message. We aim to respond within 30 days, and we won't charge you. If you're in the EU or UK and unhappy with our response, you can complain to your national data-protection authority.

8. Cookies

This site is deliberately light on cookies.

  • Essential — needed for the site and the application form to work, including the in-browser draft of your application. These are always on.
  • Analytics — if enabled, these tell us which pages people read before applying, in aggregate. We ask for your agreement first, and declining changes nothing about your application.

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie link in the footer, or clear cookies in your browser settings.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and uploaded documents are stored in non-public locations accessible only to the people reviewing applications. Access is limited to team members who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we'll tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change anything significant we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change materially affects applicants — for instance a new category of data — we'll say so directly rather than quietly editing the text.

11. Contact us

Email support@oureasygame.com, or WhatsApp +961 71 091 353. A person answers both.

Note for OEG: before publishing, add your registered company name, registered address and, if you have one, your data-protection contact. Confirm the retention periods above match what you actually do, and name your processors explicitly if you want to be maximally transparent.

We use essential cookies to run this site and to save your application draft in your browser. May we also use analytics cookies to see which pages help tutors apply? Declining changes nothing about your application. Privacy policy
